In the Magistrates' Court, 81 charges of dishonestly cause loss or risk of loss to a Commonwealth entity were sentenced in the five years to 30 June 2023. The most common sentence for a charge of this offence was a community correction order (33.3% or 27 charges).

In 48 cases sentenced in the Magistrates' Court in the five years to 30 June 2023, dishonestly cause loss or risk of loss to a Commonwealth entity was the principal proven offence (the most serious crime in the case). Among the 48 cases, 15 people were male and 33 people were female. The most common outcome for cases was imprisonment with a recognizance release order with immediate release (27.1% or 13 cases).
