In the Magistrates' Court, 45,341 charges of commit an indictable offence while on bail were sentenced in the three years to 30 June 2023. The most common sentence for a charge of this offence was imprisonment (50% or 22670 charges).

Case data

In 24,979 cases sentenced in the Magistrates' Court in the three years to 30 June 2023, each case included at least one charge of commit an indictable offence while on bail. Among the 24,979 cases, 20,566 people were male and 4,413 people were female. The most common outcome for cases was imprisonment (33.4% or 8332 cases).
