In the Magistrates' Court, 51 charges of make a statement or convey information with intent to create a bomb hoax were sentenced in the three years to 30 June 2023. The most common sentence for a charge of this offence was imprisonment (45% or 23 charges).

In 41 cases sentenced in the Magistrates' Court in the three years to 30 June 2023, each case included at least one charge of make a statement or convey information with intent to create a bomb hoax. Among the 41 cases, 35 people were male and 6 people were female. The most common outcome for cases was an adjourned undertaking (34% or 14 cases).
