In the Magistrates' Court, 184 charges of non-prohibited person possess, carry or use an unregistered category A or B longarm were sentenced in the three years to 30 June 2023. The most common sentence for a charge of this offence was a fine (38% or 70 charges).

Case data

In 165 cases sentenced in the Magistrates' Court in the three years to 30 June 2023, each case included at least one charge of non-prohibited person possess, carry or use an unregistered category A or B longarm. Among the 165 cases, 152 people were male and 13 people were female. The most common outcome for cases was a fine (39.4% or 65 cases).
