Charge data

In the Magistrates' Court, 390 charges of traffick a drug of dependence (other or not further defined) were sentenced in the three years to 30 June 2023. The most common sentence for a charge of this offence was imprisonment (44.1% or 172 charges).

Case data

In 346 cases sentenced in the Magistrates' Court in the three years to 30 June 2023, each case included at least one charge of traffick a drug of dependence (other or not further defined). Among the 346 cases, 272 people were male and 74 people were female. The most common outcome for cases was a community correction order (30.9% or 107 cases).
